Meet The Team
John (Sam) Shropshire – Luxury Home Builder & President
Sam Shropshire is a Georgia-licensed General Contractor with over 25 years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial construction. Specializing in luxury custom homes in the Golden Isles, he is dedicated to quality craftsmanship and excellence.
From 2000 to 2019, Sam was Executive Vice President and co-owner of a construction company, growing revenues beyond $35 million. In 2019, he sold his interests to focus on high-end homebuilding along Georgia’s coast.
A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in HR Management, Sam is a Board Member of the Golden Isles Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a Rotary International member, and a volunteer at Community Church in St. Simons Island.
Sam lives in Georgia with his wife, Angela, and they have four children: Madison, John, Jessie, and Savannah.

2021 Master Design Awards
Shropshire Built is proud to present an award-winning renovation of a 1950s ranch bungalow on St. Simons Island. The project involved raising the ceilings from 8 feet to 14 feet, creating an open, light-filled floor plan. A reclaimed Douglas fir beam was added for support, and high-quality materials like Pella windows and Restoration Hardware lighting were featured throughout. The renovation expanded the home to 1,626 square feet and was recognized for exceptional design and craftsmanship.
